Super Kids The Eastern Maine Soap Box Derby is pleased to announce the "Super Kids" Race. This program allows area youth with special needs to get the same "thrill of the hill" that their peers enjoy in the traditional Soap Box Derby race. We would like to thank Mid-Coast Maine Soap Box Derby for loaning us their two person cars which were used for these racers. The Super Kids were accompanied down the hill by local veteran drivers who presently race in the Masters Division. This year one lucky Super Kids racer was selected to represent Brewer, Maine in the inaugural National Super Kids Classic Soap Box Derby Race to be held in Akron, Ohio in August. 2003 Super Kids Champ: Jaron Secord of Bangor
